The Story Of John: Part I
[John] Hello, My name is John. As I swim here in this bowl of life, I reflect back on everywhere I have been and what I have seen. It has been a crazy ride and I think I am finally at a Home. Of coarse I thought that before a couple times. Here is my story.
I was born in a giant tank, my mother was taken away from me by the green net shortly after. All my brothers and sisters were there with me though. My older, by 4 seconds, brother was able to communicate with some of the older fish in our tank and found out that everyones mom had been taken away. Some of them started in other tanks and after their mom was taken by the green net they were poured into our tank. Also some of the other fish had been put here by the green net. They don't like to talk about it much though. The green net takes away life.
One day in the tank, Bill, a young swimmer, squeezed behind a rock in the corner of our tank. In the very corner some of the flat plants were bent and he could see out of the tank.
[Bill] You guys! You wont believe it. There are more of us. I saw two more tanks behind the flat plants. In one tank I can see a giant shell monster. There is a label on it, "Morty, The Mortster". The other tank though, I can see many of us in with more flat plants, but something wasn't right. It looked like most of us were in a giant plastic bag, half filled with life and half with death, on top of the life that was in the tank.
[John] We thought that Bill was crazy. We made fun of him. He was little, he was used to it. Because he was little though was the reason that he was the only one that saw the giant bag of life. The rest of us were not prepared for what came next.
It was a regular day in life. I had just found an orange flake on a rock and started enjoying it when the sun shifted. Just a little at first, it just look like it shook a bit. Then it moved away from us and to the other side of the flat plants. There were more suns much further away. Then a god came and put a giant bag down in our life. It scooped up most of us along with the life in our tank. Bill was able to swim around it, he wanted nothing to do with this. The god sealed the end of the bag after putting a tube in it. The tube filled the rest of the bag with death. We were now exactly as Bill had described that day.
We were in the half life - half death bag for many short days. Bill swam around out side the bag. Some people made fun of him for being outside, he and the others outside made fun of us for being inside. None of us knew weather we wanted to be in or out. The sun that we knew never came back, but the distant suns would go on and off creating very short days. As I was ruminating these suns one morning a god came by and grabbed the top of the bag. It lifted us out of our tank. We were now in a bag full of life and death being carried by a god to who knows where. We were never to see Bill again.
The god quickly put us in a wheel box. I had heard of wheel boxes from Bills' sister. She had seen them while in her first tank before she was brought to our tank. Another god placed another bag of life and death next to us. For a short time we could see many of our brothers and sisters in the other bag. That was over when the box was closed and it was dark. We floated waiting to see what would happen next.
I would guess we were in that dark wheel box for a day or so when the box opened, a god took the bag with our brothers and sisters and then closed the box again. It was dark again for about 3 days time. My brothers and sisters that were still with me and I communicated about what we had been through and what could be coming next. None of us even pondered what was about to happen.
The box opened and a god grabbed our life and death bag and took us into a large building with colorful lights on it. We all enjoyed this. Lights are very entertaining. Once in the building we saw all kinds of things. Hoping that we stayed together we all looked in random directions so we could share what we saw and hopefully between all of us could figure out where we were. Shortly the life and death bag was opened and poured into another tank! This tank was awesome! It had plants. Not flat plants but real plants that floated with us and we could dart through the leaves when we play. It had a sun very similar to our sun in our first tank. Our ground was all smooth shiny stones. We thought we had made it Home.
We could see lots of other tanks and lots of brothers and sisters from lots of different families. We could even see some shell monsters in a tank a couple down from ours. We could see what looked like hundreds of magic tubes that the gods get our flakes out of. We had a blast looking at the sparkles on the rocks. Every once in a while a god, mostly the smaller ones, would come and press its face against our tank. We don't like this at all and would swim to the back of the tank when this happens. It took us until the following day to find out what was going on here.
It was day two in the new tank. I had become close with a sister, Julie along our travels here. She was fun to communicate with and was comforting when I was scared. We were trying to have some time alone so we were near the death at the top of the tank. All of a sudden the green net swooped in and took Julie. I followed her as much as I could. Up to the top I got a taste of death, I had to stop. I watched the green net and I saw a god controlling it. The god put Julie in a small bag with a small tube in it. It pressed a light and death filled the rest of Julie's bag. The god pulled out the tube and handed Julie to a smaller god. The smaller god looked closely at Julie, smiled, then hopped away.
I kept an eye on the god that took Julie from me. It walked back and forth in front of the tanks taking different brothers and sisters out and putting them in bags and giving them to other gods. The day the spike haired god came in was a scary one. It was tall and skinny with an evil grin on its face. The god that took Julie communicated with the spike haired god and then the god who took Julie went to work. It took some smaller brothers and sisters out of a tank next to the shell monsters tank, then some bigger ones out of the tank next to ours. Then it came for my tank. It was my revenge time. Life, Death, They meant nothing to me. Revenge is what I wanted. As I swam my hardest from the bottom of the tank to get it, I was snatched up by the green net. Death was all around me, I fought to get out. Before I knew it I was in a bag with the other brothers and sisters with the tube of death filling our new bag. The god that took Julie handed us to the spike haired god.
The spike haired god was not nice to us. We were swished around so much we couldn't tell where life started and death began. We saw many other gods around as our new bag was put into a dark crinkly bag and it was dark again. We were swished around for a while, just long enough to get used to it. Then it stopped. We were stable, but it was still dark. Through communication I found out there was about 30 of us in this small bag. I could also here spike haired god as it was communicating with another god quite loudly. We kept hearing words we didn't understand like "Bobby" and "owned".
Light. The crinkly bag was removed and our small bag was placed in an odd tank full of life. There was no sun here but large boxes that sun was emitting from. We could feel that the life was a bit colder outside the bag so we all tried to stay towards the center to stay warm. After a bit the temperature evened out and we started becoming comfortable where we were. Outside our bag in the tank we were in we could see stones and a plant. Not as nice as the plants in our last tank, but it wasn't a flat plant. There was also an odd god looking creature in the life. It was quite deformed and just bobbed back and forth in the life. There was a loud beeping for a short while, the sun turned off, and we could not here the gods anymore. We all relaxed wondering what on this crazy journey will come next.
We were startled by the loud beeping again, the sun came back and we saw a god go by. Noting much happened with that god but after a while the spike haired god showed up again. It quickly opened our bag and put us in the odd looking tank. It gave us some odd flakes unlike any we had been given before. The spike haired god watched us for a little and then moved our tank into a box. It was dark again.
Not a lot of time passed before our tank was pulled back out of the box by a god that we had not seen before. This god had a hair ball around and under his communicator. The hairy god seemed surprised to see us.
[spike haired god] Supplies!
[John]The spike haired god jumped out. It and the hairy god communicated while pointing and looking at us like we were the butt of some joke. After that for a long time we stayed in this tank. We were given the odd flakes almost every time there was sun. We spent a lot of time in the box though, it was dark a lot. I got to know one of the smaller brothers, Carl, pretty well. He had lots of stories to tell about where he had been before we ended up in the small bag and then in here together. I shared my story so far with him. We both had an odd feeling it wasn't over.
